September 15th through October 15th is National Hispanic Heritage Month! This is a time for recognizing and celebrating the national independence achieved by a number of Latin American countries between these dates in years past. It’s also a time to reflect upon and further appreciate the deep history and culture those who are Hispanic carry with them.

Puentes is a community-outreach non-profit that originally formed with the intent to serve the local Hispanic community. It has since evolved to serve all under-represented populations in acquiring vital health and wellness resources, such as those related to medical care, finances, housing, education, and employment. You can find them at Broadacres Marketplace (Space #74) each weekend to learn more!

Dream Big Nevada

Dream Big provides aid to immigrant families throughout the state of Nevada through advocacy, empowerment, and resource sharing. They work to increase civic engagement through intersectional education, and you can support their efforts by making a donation!


Mi Familia Vota

Mi Familia Vota works to mobilize, educate, and empower Latinos! They work to promote social and economic justice through a variety of citizenship workshops as well as through education and voter registration and participation. They also aim to strengthen the next generation of leaders through opportunities for Latino youth. You can support them by signing up as a volunteer or making a donation!
