Today, August 19th, is World Photo Day!
To celebrate, we’re hoping to share some of the most photogenic spots in Las Vegas with you. When you have a beautiful backdrop, any day can provide a spectacular opportunity to snap a few pics! There’s absolutely no shortage of unique subjects and landscapes in this town, so read on to find out where we recommend striking a pose.
Your Favorite Venue Or Neighborhood
Posing for a photo that features one of your favorite spots in town is always a great idea. Not only will your genuine excitement to be there shine through, but it could be a great conversation starter or chance to share the space with others who might enjoy it as much as you do! For props, try ordering something from the venue itself, or one that’s nearby if you’re posing elsewhere! You can also give off some flair with something you already have, like a jacket, purse, or pair of sunglasses.
The Arts District / DTLV
Speaking of favorites, we recently posed for photos Downtown in the Arts District! This is an amazing part of town full of incredible local businesses, regular pop-ups and live events, and stunning artwork all over. Before our team lunch date, we took a breather in front of these multicolored murals and were thrilled with how well all of the different colors popped.
Under The Neon Lights
The Vegas lights are vibrant enough to be seen from outer space, and they’re one of the most iconic pieces of Vegas history. Posing under that neon glow is a classic photo-op that can turn up different results every time thanks to the ever-changing colors. Bask in the pink reflections of the Flamingo, swim in a sea of gold Downtown, or embrace the beam at Luxor! For an extra-special photoshoot, head to the Neon Boneyard and enjoy some signage that is beautifully retro.
Out In The Desert
The desert is a great place to take center stage and show off your surroundings. With settings ranging from the sandy flats and fields of cacti to the red rocks and magnificent sunsets, you should never find yourself disappointed. If you head outside of town (after doing a little research), you’ll find a number of outdoor museums, rundown buildings and vehicles, and colorful landmarks. You can also take a longer journey, like towards Mt. Charleston or Rachel, NV, for some additional one-of-a-kind experiences. Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and don’t forget to fill your gas tank!
