Las Vegas is known for a lot of things – it’s quite possible “family-friendly” doesn’t always come to mind. The secret to doing Vegas right? Understanding that it’s a lot more than its 24-hour-party-town reputation lets on.

One of locals’ favorite things to rave about is the local grub. If you’re visiting town for the first time or are still getting acquainted with what’s good around here, you’ll be pleased to know that Las Vegas is full of family-friendly dining options. Read on to learn more about seven of our favorites.

Rollin’ Smoke Barbeque

Rollin’ Smoke is quite possibly the most beloved barbeque spot in all of Las Vegas. With an unbelievable selection of meats, sammies, sides, and desserts, there’s no shortage of delicious eats at this local space.

For kiddos who prefer to stick to the basics, there are combos containing wings, ribs, and sandwiches available at reasonable price points. Rollin’ Smoke’s commitment to families doesn’t stop at their menu offerings, however. They’ve even partnered with Critical Care Comics to help ease young hospital patients’ stress and discomfort.

Honey Salt

Honey Salt is a tried and true farm-to-table, off-the-Strip restaurant.

Their focus is on “feeding the soul” through a hefty selection of delicious, locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients that are packed with flavor. Creating memorable experiences for you and your family is a top priority, and the communal environment and mouth-watering menu are bound to come through.

If you’re worried about your little ones getting through a meal with ease, not to worry – the kids menu at Honey Salt is sure to please. With a tempting list of classic menu items and choices of fruity concoctions that sound delightful for any age, a meal at Honey Salt might just become routine.

Dirt Dog

If hot dogs are your jam, Dirt Dog is sure to leave you impressed.

There’s a hot dog for everybody (including vegetarians) at this creative space, with a simplified kids menu, beautifully messy french fries, and enticing dessert options to shake things up.

Inspired by childhood memories of a Los Angeles hot dog vendor, it only makes sense to continue the cycle and support a local business that was born out of supporting a local business, right?

Big Chicken

If you’re not a basketball fan, no sweat – we can guarantee you’ll be stanning Shaq after a meal at Big Chicken!

This is easily one of the best venues in town to get yourself some juicy chicken. Sandwiches, sliders, tenders, and salads are four of the ways you can get your fix here. Funky twists on classic favorites, like mac ‘n’ cheese, add to an innovative environment that’s sure to leave an impression, and kids combos are available in both slider and tender form.

Nacho Daddy

Looking for a fresh twist on tortilla chips? How does an order of smothered gourmet nachos sound? From a more traditional Mexican menu and a full vegan selection to delicious cocktails and the world-famous Scorpion Shot, Nacho Daddy is truly full of surprises.

Okay – maybe some of that doesn’t sound so kid-friendly. We promise, this is a venue that welcomes everyone! A loaded menu for los niños will make the little ones happy, guaranteed. Plus, for every entrée that’s purchased, Nacho Daddy makes a donation to children in need – an initiative they call ‘Nacho Average Fight Against Hunger.’

Mama Bird

Southerners at heart, rejoice! Mama Bird is a southern kitchen with a focus on crafting hearty, home-cooked meals for folks of all ages.

Their kids menu, sweet treats, and multi-piece meal offerings are only a few of the listings that make this the perfect spot for a meal with the entire family. (Not to mention the stellar snacks; watermelon, anyone?) This menu is so extensive, it’s hard to decide what to order first!

Bok Bok Chicken

Bok Bok Chicken was born out of a deep love for backyard barbecues and family recipes.

A wide variety of Mediterranean plates line the menu, with plenty of traditional sides and desserts available to enhance your experience. Little ones can opt for a mini rotisserie chicken plate complete with two sides and a box of thirst-quenching apple juice. As an added incentive, kids eat free on Saturdays!
